Daily Poll: pain perdu or French toast?
I.e. Sugar, egg, vanilla and cinnamon doused bread served with creme fraiche for dessert, or eggy bread served with warm maple syrup and berries for breakfast?
Wow, no one for le pain perdu? Then I will boldly claim it as better than French toast... if the bread is sweet and warm French bread, saturated in milk, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. And then topped with caramel ice cream.
You had me at Maple Syrup. French toast :-)

French toast, but with jam instead of syrup. (I'm not a fan of maple syrup).
