Daily Poll: pain perdu or French toast?

I.e. Sugar, egg, vanilla and cinnamon doused bread served with creme fraiche for dessert, or eggy bread served with warm maple syrup and berries for breakfast?

    I made it for the first time since we have lived here just the other day... I had forgotten how much I love French toast !

  5. Wow, no one for le pain perdu? Then I will boldly claim it as better than French toast... if the bread is sweet and warm French bread, saturated in milk, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. And then topped with caramel ice cream.
