I owe this man much of my experience in Paris.
He is Matthew Caws, front man of Nada Surf. Mon ami, Bennie, manages Nada Surf. Melissa went to high school with the boys of Nada Surf. They were all tight. And because of this three degrees of separation, Ben made the virtual trans-Atlantic introduction between me and Mel. And that changed everything for me.
Mel’s new mission, Morning Glory, is to motivate people to tap into their creative side, follow their bliss and have fun. Because that’s just the kind of girl she is. In life, she’s surrounded by cool, talented, inspiring people and now she’s sharing some of their secrets, starting at 6 a.m., with you.
I'm totally in love with Nada Surf's song 'Popular'. One of my old favorites.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice profile of you on the Morning Glory site! Very, very cool. I am so impressed that you are sharing space with the likes of Nina Gordon! I'm having one of those moments where I am all, "Not only have I met a cool and talented chick like Amy but OMG, she shared webspace with the founder of Veruca Salt" *squeeeee!* Does that make me cool by association?
ReplyDelete(*snort* Yeah, that's a bit of a stretch, lol. I'll leave the coolness up to you chickadees. :D)
You're so funny, Karin! I feel the same way: cool by about the 19th level of connection!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're doing well in Paris! xo
