Weighing in at 280 pages, laden with calories, memories and more than a couple embarrassing moments from my life abroad, my baby, Paris, My Sweet, is finally out in the world!
As well as a feature in the New York Post (!).
There was a double flower delivery… Dinner with friends from different chapters of my life… drinks and nightcaps and bottles… and a million well wishes and sweet thoughts. It was incredible. Thank you, everyone. It's been the best week ever!

Bonjour Amy! Like you, I studied abroad in Paris in college and am hoping to move back for grad school this fall. I have been an avid reader of your blog for some time now and just got your book in the mail on Friday... I have NOT been able to put it down. Your vivid descriptions of Paris, your funny encounters with the French, and all the food you experienced along your journey are not only an inspiration to me (as they hit very close to home!) but also just a joy to read. Congratulations on the incredible accomplishment and bonne chance on your next book!!
ReplyDeleteWill you be doing any book tours or signings?

I'm so happy and elated and proud and excited for you! What a wonderful moment of your life to savour! A chapter forever in print, as it should be.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations mon amie!!!!
I loved every page :)
CONGRATS!! You are amazing! I'm almost finished with the book - it's superb and I'm so proud of you!!!
ReplyDeleteWoo hooo!! And you look absolutely terrific in that picture for the New York Post. Love the shoes! As I put on FB, my copy should be here in Paris on... March 6. Yeah, Amazon.fr is a little slower. *sigh* I would have just downloaded the Kindle version, but I really wanted to hold the real book in hand, and then have it on my shelf later. :) I am sure it will be worth the wait! Loved Kasia's post, and am looking forward to reading the what the other bloggers have to say, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad this day is here, Amy, and I hope that this book takes off, sky high! NYT Bestseller List, here she comes! :D
Take care, Amy. Have fun with everything going on. :)
