French word of the day: vexant

Def: annoying

How did I not know this word until now?

  2. Not really sure that it quite means annoying. There is the imtimation that the person who says it is annoyed with themselves in some way or hurt. "Tes mots sont vexants" means that you are hurt by what the other person is saying. "C'est vexant. Je ne savais pas qu'il m'attendait" would mean that its annoying because you should have realised the other person was waiting.
