Inviting. I love cafe terraces in the morning - so fresh and so clear and seeming like they're waiting just for ME to sit and enjoy my cafe creme before the crowd hits.
When we arrived on the Isle St Louis, one blustery March morning, there was no one around. No one. The cafe on the corner was empty and looked just like these ! This brought back that memory so clearly :)
Mais oui!

ReplyDeleteI always loved how much cafes were a vital part of Paris culture.... I spent so many hours just people watching, reading, and of course eating :)
ReplyDeleteThey're empty because everyone is gone for the Ascension holiday this weekend... :)
