Hi I have been reading your blog for a little while but not commented much. I just wanted to pop by and say that I have just returned from a VERY sunny Paris for a 4 day weekend break, and the recommendation of the Cornet Vegetarian from Le Marche Les Enfant Rouge was TO DIE FOR. I am desperate to recreate it now!. We told the very smiley/dancey stall holder that he was infamous in blogland! The queue seemed to be full of foreign people ordering Cornet's!!!! Clare x
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I made it a Vegan Tuesday here :) So far, salad with lettuce, tomato and very ripe avocado with a dash of olive oil and salt. Dinner will be Pasta with Broccoli.
Ack!! Another cold ? Poor baby, you are having to re-build your NY cold germ antibodies.. the French ones are gone now I guess :( I find that Chinese soup with tons of ginger in it helps beat colds. (Argentine colds )
This winter's bad sickness bugs are lasting FOREVER. I've had what I unaffectionately call "The Plague" for 10 weeks now. I think I'm better one day and it slams me down again the next.
Merci, mes amis. While I'm feeling much better, I do have to wonder if and how this is connected to moving from Paris. Like, when one half of an old couple passes away and the other then dies of a broken heart... Are my soul and heart heavy without Paris and rebelling against NYC??
Amy, I hope le plague passes quickly. I totally know what you're going through.
Candice, bravo on the (yummy) Vegan Tuesday!
Clare, I am so happy that you went to see Alain and that you loved the cornet, too! Isn't it just the oddest, healthiest, most delicious thing on the planet??

ReplyDeleteI hope yours is just a minor one.
