I showed no compunction about eating this week. Don Antonio and Nicoletta pizzas were only the beginning. There was a relatively modest lunch of salad and a smoked salmon and chive egg tartine at Smorgas Chef.
Then drinks and a variety of amazing dishes at The Spotted Pig. Sauteed squid with fresh corn and a carrot and avocado salad to rival ABC Kitchen's blew me away. And burrata never fails to make me happy.
A chicken parm sandwich from Parm...
... followed a little nosh at Eric Kayser.
In between all the eating, I fell deeper in love with Brooklyn...
Including dinner at Lot 2.
Roasted chicken with romano beans and an amazing vegetarian dish: farro with summer squash and crispy sage.
One of the things I look forward to , being back in the US, back in NY.. the food. The amazing and tasty food.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you feel good :) Will you be living in Brooklyn ?
I was supposed to go to Smorgas Cafe today! Ended up sleeping in though, to the dismay of my friends. Girl needs her beauty sleep sometimes! ;)
ReplyDeleteCandice, when are you guys making the move? I feel very good. :) And can't wait to move to Brooklyn... it's just a matter a time...
ReplyDeleteHelen, I hope you found some good eats elsewhere this weekend!
